Research and Application of WebGIS Based on J2EE and ArcIMS

The environmental changes in network and the existence of heterogeneous data bring new requirements for the architecture and functions of WebGIS, after analyzing the characteristics of architecture and operational mechanism of J2EE and ArcIMS, a multi-layer distributed framework for WebGIS system based on J2EE and ArcIMS is designed.A specific example of project development is given to demonstrate the logical levels and the function deployment of the system, focusing on the key technologies used in implementing the services of geospatial information and non-spatial information by EJB components.
