Study on Quality Measures for Image Fusion

This paper analyses and discusses the objective and subjective measures of fused image quality in existence, then presents a new evaluation of fused image, which combines objective and subjective factors.In addition, it considers the characteristics of human visual system (HVS) without reference image and human visual system model.Many infrared and low-light-level image fusion experiments in different scenes and different kinds of algorithms demonstrate that it is a practical, effective quality measurement of fused image.It can be used to choose the best algorithm in image fusion applications of different environment.
