An Effective Algorithm for Converting ISPD98 Netlist into Hypergraph

  • We describe the netlist format of ISPD98, compressed storage format (CSF) and file storage format (FSF) of hypergraph, taking the model of ISPD98 and corresponding hypergraph as an example.Furthermore, we propose an effective algorithm for converting ISPD98 netlist into hypergraph, which reads the netlist of ISPD98, converts the netlist of ISPD98 into CSF of hypergraph and saves as FSF of hypergraph.We also give the implementation of the algorithm which converts the circuit partitioning into the hypergraph partitioning.The experiment and analysis show that the algorithm can rightly convert the netlist of ISPD98 into FSF of hypergraph and its objective is to improve the efficiency of circuit partitioner by avoiding partitioning the netlist of ISPD98 directly.
