Application of Simulated Annealing Algorithm on WLAN Channel Assignment

Channel assignment become an important problem for large-scale deployment of WLAN.This paper proposes a WLAN channel assignment model aimed at maximizing the minimal SIR, and then applies simulated annealing algorithm to solve this model.Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a good convergence and efficiency and is capable of significantly increasing the SIR over the coverage of WLAN.
