Routing Protocol of Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Link-tree Topology Structure

  • Due to the limitation resources of energy and calculate ability in wireless sensor networks, the energy efficiency routing protocol become one of the most important and hot technologies. Without considering the dynamic of the networks, the typical protocol of low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy could not be applied to the large scale networks. And so an energy efficiency routing protocol based on link-tree topology structure is proposed. According to the residual energy reserves, geographical location and the traffic load of nearby cluster heads, the father node is looked for among the cluster heads. And then after several iterative, the tree link is built to achieve the multi-hops data transmit between the cluster heads and the base station. Comparing with low energy adaptive clustering hierarchy protocol, the results of simulation and performance analysis show that this protocol could significantly balance energy consumption and prolong lifetime for the network.
