An Improved Scheme of Scalar Multiplication Based on Comb Method for Ellipse Curve Cryptography

  • The comb method and point halving was combined in order to improve the operation efficient of the scalar multiplication based on comb method. And then a new scheme of comb scalar multiplication based on point halving for ellipse curve cryptography was proposed by using more efficiency operation of point halving to replace point doubling on the stage of pre-computation and evaluation. The performance analysis result of the algorithm shows that:compared with the traditional scheme of comb scalar multiplication, the proposed scheme could improve the operation efficient of scalar multiplication for ellipse curve cryptography over finite field of binary system. And the scheme could has better practical value in a variety systems applied ellipse curve cryptography.
