Abstract: The algorithm of Ad Hoc on-Demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol is one of the research hotspots in wireless Ad Hoc network.This paper offers a clustering routing protocol (CAODV) based on AODV protocol.Through adding clustering mechanism in AODV, AODV protocol is improved as a hierarchical routing protocol.Simulation results show that packet delivery fraction and normalized routing load of improved protocol has better performances than AODV protocol.
