Real-time Media Transmission in Software-defined Content Network

  • 摘要: 内容中心网络(CCN)的内容路由思想为高效视频分发提供了可能性.协议无感知转发协议(POF)是对软件定义网络(SDN)OpenFlow协议的扩展, 能够支持位置无关的内容路由数据包.在基于POF实现的软件定义内容网络(SDCN)上设计了一种实时媒体传输架构, 并在实际环境中进行了部署与实验, 结果证明了该方案的可行性与优势.

     

    Abstract: Content routing of Content Centric Network (CCN) provides the possibility of efficient video content distribution. Protocol oblivious forwarding is an extension of OpenFlow protocol of software-defined network (SDN). In this paper, we design a real time media transmission infrastructure based on software defined content network (SDCN) which is a prototype of CCN based POF. Then we deploy the plan in a real environment and do experiments. The results demonstrate the feasibility and advantages of the scheme.
