Abstract: In this paper, a method for software copyright protection based on machine features is introduced. The model is given first, and then product key generating mechanism based on characteristic values of machine assembly and corresponding enforcement steps, encryption of core codes using virtual machine protection and software shell adding are presented in detail respectively. The experimental results show the feasibility and effectiveness of the system. Meanwhile it also has good scalability.
