Research on ICA Face Recognition Algorithm Based on Gabor Wavelet Transform

  • 摘要: 为了提高较少训练样本下的人脸识别率,提出了一种改进的人脸识别算法。基于Gabor小波可以良好地表征人脸局部纹理特征这一优点,利用幅值和相位信息相结合来描述图像,通过ICA方法提取独立分量,采用最近邻分类器对该特征进行分类,在ORL人脸数据库上进行了大量实验。结果表明该算法具有很高的识别率,尤其是在训练样本数量较少的情况下,识别率仍保持在90%以上。

     

    Abstract: In order to improve the face recognition rate under the fewer training samples,this paper proposes an improved face recognition algorithm.Based on Gabor wavelet can characterize local texture feature of face image,this algorithm describes image by combining amplitude and phase information. extracting independent components through ICA method,using nearest neighbor classifier to classify the features and conduct test on the ORL face database.Experimental results show that this algorithm has a high recognition rate,Especially in the number of training samples of less cases,recognition rate is above 90%.
