An AMBA Bus IP Core Evaluation Method Based on VIP

  • 摘要: 现代SoC设计过程中要集成大量IP核, 而IP核在集成到系统之前必须进行评测, 以确保其功能的正确性.VIP是可复用的验证模块, 同时也可以为待评测的设计创建直接测试场景和测试序列.提出了采用VIP模型开发IP核评测平台的方法, 搭建了基于VIP模型的AMBA总线IP核评测平台, 通过监视器可监测IP核是否出现违反总线协议的情况, 仿真结束后会给出详细的总线传输报告.利用该评测平台对AES加密算法IP核进行了评测, 验证了IP核评测平台的有效性和实用性.

     

    Abstract: To design a modern SoC needs to integrate a large number of IP core. But IP core must be evaluated before integrated into the system. VIP is a reusable verification module, but also for the design to be tested to create a direct test scenarios and test sequences. This paper presents a method of using the VIP model to develop the IP core evaluation platform and builds the AMBA bus IP core evaluation platform based on the VIP model. The monitor monitors whether the bus protocol is violated. After the simulation, a detailed bus transfer report is given. The IP core of the AES encryption algorithm is evaluated by the evaluation platform, which verifies the validity and practicability of the IP core evaluation platform.
