Abstract: Aiming at the situation that current cloud storage systems mainly focus on file backup, this paper presents a cloud storage-oriented archiving approach.By storing inactive file data in cloud storage systems in archival form and leaving its stub information on clients for the use of read, this approach can not only save storage space on clients and improve the performance, but also implement transparent user access to archived data.
