Abstract: To find the edge between two different materials, an intelligent edge detection method based on computer vision is proposed.Every kind of material has its own optical character.In the HIS color space, the pixels in the same material surface locate with the same rule.If pixels in a window locate with different rules, the window contains different materials.Experiment proved that the method is simple, effective, to solve the problem about finding an edge between different materials.
