Modified Watershed Algorithm for Blood Cells Image Segmentation

  • 摘要: 针对流域分割算法中的过分割问题,提出几点改进:增加预处理,采用改变了流程的流域分割.整个过程是基于局部流域变换的迭代剥离,降低了程序储存空间.实验结果表明,这种改进的方法能使医学图像中的血细胞区域被有效分割出来,成功地解决了目标粘连现象对后续分析、测量产生干扰的问题.

     

    Abstract: Methods for modifying watershed algorithm are proposed to resolve over-segmentation problem of watershed algorithm in region-based segmentation process. It adds preprocess, adopts mended process watershed algorithm. Since the whole process is based on local watershed algorithm, it reduce the storage space. The experimental results showed that the improvements can segment the blood cells in medical images effectively. It is successful to solve the problem of overlapped objects with the high speed, the appropriate result and the automatic mode.
