Design and Implementation a Memory Monitoring Framework for Linux Kernel

  • 摘要: 针对Linux内核中内存访问引起的系统安全漏洞,设计了一种可扩展的内核内存访问监控框架.该框架包含核心组件和监控组件,其中核心组件利用缺页技术捕获所监控内存的访问,监控组件实现具体的访问处理过程和错误报告.实验结果表明,该监控框架能有效地监控Linux运行时的内核内存,准确地报告出错误,对系统整体性能影响较小.

     

    Abstract: For mitigating the system security vulnerabilities caused by the Linux kernel memory, a new kernel memory monitoring framework is given out. The framework consist of two parts, a core component for capturing memory access using page-fault technology, and handler components for implementing how to deal with the access and reporting results in different cases. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed framework can be tracking the target kernel memory in the run-time system and report the findings accurately. At the same time, it has little influence on the whole system.
