Digital Interpolation Beamforming with Uniform Linear Array

  • 摘要: 波束形成器是一种有效的空域滤波器,为了扩大波束的覆盖范围,同时对多个方向的信号进行空域滤波,设计了均匀线列阵的数字内插波束形成器,分析了阵元数、采样频率等参数对同步波束的影响.为了验证数字内插波束形成器的性能,以8元均匀线列阵为例进行计算机仿真,结果表明:内插零序列后可以有效地生成多个同步波束,同时覆盖整个波束空间,而内插的效果相当于提高了系统的采样频率.

     

    Abstract: Beamforming is an effective spatial filter, In order to extend the covering range and filter waves from multiple directions at the same time, a digital interpolation beamforming with uniform linear array is designed, meanwhile the influence of array number and sampling frequency to drease synchronous beams is analyzed. In the end, the performance of digital interpolation beamforming which uses an uniform linear array with eight hydrophones is evaluated by computer simulation. The result shows that the method can generate synchronous beams effectively after the zero pads interpolation, so the whole beam space can be covered simultaneously, and the effect of interpolation is equal to increase the sampling frequency of the system.
