Abstract:
The time sensitive network (TSN) based on Ethernet protocol is compatible with the standard Ethernet, and has the ability to transmit real-time signals by establishing network time synchronization, traffic scheduling and other means. As a key technology of TSN, traffic shaping is very important in solving the real-time and deterministic problems of time-sensitive flow transmission. At present, there are four main traffic shaping measures in TSN, including Credit-Based Shaper (CBS), Time Awareness Shaper (TAS), Cyclic Queuing and Forwarding (CQF) and Frame Preemption. In this paper, the working principle and operation mechanism of these four traffic scheduling mechanisms are comprehensively introduced. By analyzing the characteristics of each algorithm, the optimal strategy of traffic scheduling in different application scenarios is sorted out.
